I still remember the cheesy, low-budget tv commercials for Railroad Salvage, featuring owner Ruby Vine and his wife "Choo-Choo." They've been described (aptly) as the Jim and Tammy Faye of retail. See where this picture was taken. [?]

This was originally the Griswold Cotton Mill, a complex of buildings built in 1874. It changed hands several times in the mid-1900s. I remember when it was Railroad Salvage Stores, which closed in 1994. The roof caved in on the building, and part of it was torn down. This is all that's left. See where this picture was taken. [?]
