People leave all sorts of things on the top of this headstone. Usually it's coins (to pay the ferryman who would take the dead across the river Styx), but on this day it was various nuts, leaves and flowers.

Dame Mary Page, relic of Sir Gregory Page, died in 1728. Her tomb is Grade II* listed. The reverse side, which I couldn't see, has a very unusual inscription. Read all about it here: londonist.com/london/history/london-s-oddest-graves-dame-mary-page

There are over 120,000 people buried here, in an area a little under an acre. People buried in this unconsecrated graveyard were primarily Protestant nonconformists who dissented from the Church of England. Bunhill Fields opened in the late 17th c and was closed to burials in 1854 when it became full. See where this picture was taken. [?]

William Blake 1757 - 1827. I've never read any Blake, so I don't know if I like him. I wonder why people have put coins on the top of his stone. See where this picture was taken. [?]
