Replica of the mosaic that was originally on the side of the Fleet Community Centre, which had stood nearby until it was demolished to make room for a modern block of flats. The mosaic was designed by Jim Anderson and installed by Kenya Mosaics.

I went on a guided walk following the Hidden River Fleet from King's Cross to its outflow at Blackfriars. We started here at St Chad's Place. The Fleet rises on Hampstead Heath and makes a zigzag course south to the Thames. It no longer flows above ground, having been contained in subterranean pipes, but you can still follow its course. Nothing to do with the Hidden River Fleet walk, but I found this old façade interesting. It's the former ambulance entrance to the Central London Throat Nose & Ear Hospital in Wicklow Street.

Light was waning and this was the final place on the guided walk of the Hidden River Fleet where we could get a glimpse of it, still flowing in a subterranean pipe here outside The Coach at the junction of Warner Street and Ray Street in Clerkenwell. The Fleet rises on Hampstead Heath and makes a zigzag course south to the Thames. It no longer flows above ground, having been contained in subterranean pipes, but you can still follow its course. Guide Rob Smith talking to our group in St Chad's Place at the beginning of the Hidden Fleet River walk. St Chad was the patron saint of medicinal or healing waters. The Fleet rises on Hampstead Heath and makes a zigzag course south to the Thames. It no longer flows above ground, having been contained in subterranean pipes, but you can still follow its course.
