People leave all sorts of things on the top of this headstone. Usually it's coins (to pay the ferryman who would take the dead across the river Styx), but on this day it was various nuts, leaves and flowers.

Blake House, Hercules Road, Lambeth. The house where he actually lived was torn down years ago, but the new housing on the site is named for him. He and his wife used to hang out in the nude in the back garden.

William Blake 1757 - 1827. I've never read any Blake, so I don't know if I like him. I wonder why people have put coins on the top of his stone. See where this picture was taken. [?]

Five of my mates and I volunteered at Southbank Mosaics one afternoon in April 2008. We sorted tile for a while, and then got to work on a couple of the mosaics that were in progress. We're all listed on this ceramic plaque in Centaur Street. BBC article with video about Southbank Mosaics and Project Blake: news.bbc.co.uk/local/london/hi/people_and_places/newsid_8...
