After hours (perceived) of filing and cursing I got the header to fit. Damn tolerances. The latest revision comes with slightly larger holes, so the issue should be solved.

Today I built this one with through-hole components. I chose to make the common-anode variant only, as I'll be using it with a constant-current LED driver for testing code. The SMD version can be used in either common anode or cathode configuration.
