I really wish the small local electronics shops would stop to stock this kind of CRAP. And I especially asked for a better quality product. The other stuff they had was even worse. I think I'll have to get a real metal one via the interweb... and the sad thing is: probably for the same price.

But I suppose the 'target' would not appreciate it much. I would make sure it would not come out again too soon.

Now I don't see why the seller would sell this one as a mono-to-stereo adapter. The contacts clearly don't do the job. BTW, they're only copper plated and do have some springiness to them.

This switch is part of cheap light fixtures under my kitchen cupboards. I got them several years ago. One switch has gone bad and I've been trying to get it replaced for months, if not years. Suffice to say I just couldn't find any replacement that would fit. Now I've just bridged the wires and covered the hole. I'll have to put a switch into the supply line. That way I'll also put less stress on the remaining switches of this terrible kind.

Quality switches just don't come in this small size. No replacement can be found for this one. The main issue is the depth of it.

Looking at the innards gives me nightmares.

This pad delaminated instantly! I barely touched it with 300°C.

To be honest, I didn't expect to see a smoothng cap in there.
