You're supposed to dismantle the toothbrush before you throw it away. And having to throw it away, just because a minuscule chip that makes up just a few percent of the whole thing has failed is a disgrace as well. I probably couldn't get a replacement for it, even if I tried hard. "Please extract the NiCd battery..." They didn't make it very easy to comply though. I almost got insane to open the body, my hands still hurt.
