Plugging it in the 2nd time. /dev/ttyUSB0 gets created, seems to work.
Avrdude can talk to it when choosing AVR911 as the programmer type.
If you choose AVR910 as shown in the manual, it doesn't support the ATmega168 chip ?!?

The CP210x usb/serial adapter gets detected by YaST as a scanner. Don't proceed with it, abort !

The USB programmer can be configured to work as an USB to SPI/TWI/Serial bridge too using the dip switches. It also supports adding an ISP header and 3.3V/5V jumper. It works with avrdude as "AVR911".
