Currently there are still CFL tubes mounted below the cupboards in my kitchen. The switches are beginning to fail one by one. No replacements to be found anywhere. The problem is that the housing is way too small to fit any kind of switch that can be considered as "safe" for 220V. I'm planning to replace these with 12V LED modules. This is an idea on how to drive them with an ATtiny2313 + MBI5168 constant current driver (quite cheap).
