Buy what you like (no processed junk food please), chop it up, throw it into a pot, add butter, preferred herbs, pepper and salt, let the meat / bacon brown a bit, add water, turn down the heat, cover, let simmer for about 45 minutes. Couldn't be easier than that.

Chop, fry, stir. Add canned tomatoes and spices and leave alone for an hour. Minimal effort.
