Aquaticus Squarii

When in danger it retracts all fins and even its head, much like a tortoise. Unfortunately this strategy is worthless when confronted with a frying pan. However, this instinct behaviour is much liked by the food industry.

Lake Pus - Aldi "Vanilla" rice pudding

If only I hadn't stirred! Oh, this is rice pudding btw. - at least that's what's printed on the container. The pre-stir pudding looked pretty good and it tasted pretty good too. The vanilla note was a bit on the low side, but it was OK. When I hit the bottom of the container, things started to go bad. I think this is what you get when 'aroma' is made by people who usually deal with plastic, polymers, additives and synthetic lubricants. Vanilla aroma made by Chem.-Giants. YUCK! And it doesn't even taste like Vanilla. There is a sickening smell of ultra-cheap baking aroma (pseudo-rum) or similar stuff. Next time just do it without the yellow CRAP and it will be edible. The sad thing is that today's youngsters will probably prefer this abomination over real Vanilla ("what's all this black dirt doing in there?").

Palatable

Roasting almonds and pumpkin seeds was a good idea. The fish was pretty bland.
