USA, est. 1986 Constantin Boym (American, born Russia 1955) and Laurene Leon Boym (American, born 1964) Babel Blocks 2007 wood A collection of wooden action figures that represents New York's cultural and religious diversity, Babel Blocks are designed to spread a message of tolerance and understanding. "Even though we are 'dressed' differently," explain the Boyms, "we are all made of identical blocks." The first collection is devoted to New York's Lower East Side, where the designers reside.
