When it finished blooming a neighbour wanted to throw this orchid away. Her husband brought it to me, knowing I have a soft spot for plants. It first began it's rebloom in November and is currently in full bloom and still going strong. What a beauty!

this tiny beauty was gracing the Hot Cocoa rose.
I have to admit, I much prefer sneaking up on them than having them sneak up on me.

Through the window and from far away. Quality isn't great, but I am so happy to see these cardinals sticking around.

A beautiful Hardy Hibiscus to honour all those who fight breast cancer, those who strive in the battle for research, those who have lost someone to, and those who are living with breast cancer.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
If you like my pink ribbon then feel free to download it for use in your own tributes. It is a .png and if pasted on top of your artwork should have a transparent background and a slight shadow.

a gift from a neighbour! (framed for a cousin)
This exotic stunner should be able to overwinter even in our bad climate. With dinner-plate size blooms, it is just so beautiful!

These luscious beauties are a new variety of sweet cherry called Orondo Rubies and they taste even better than they look!
While most new varieties are created through the manipulations of man, it seems these are a spontaneous variety offered up by none other than Mother Nature herself. And I have to say, she has outdone herself!

I'm not really a foodie, and I don't take a lot of pictures of food, but this looked so yummy and colourful, I thought it would be a shame not to snap it before I ate it. BTW, it tasted as deicious as it looked!
