When it finished blooming a neighbour wanted to throw this orchid away. Her husband brought it to me, knowing I have a soft spot for plants. It first began it's rebloom in November and is currently in full bloom and still going strong. What a beauty!

A beautiful Hardy Hibiscus to honour all those who fight breast cancer, those who strive in the battle for research, those who have lost someone to, and those who are living with breast cancer. a gift from a neighbour! (framed for a cousin) This exotic stunner should be able to overwinter even in our bad climate. With dinner-plate size blooms, it is just so beautiful!

This pot of lilies has gotten too crowded and will be split up at the end of the season. I keep them in a pot so I can overwinter them. They often flower for me in winter, too. This shot is for my best friend who got very excited about receiving a few for her home.

So here I sit, with another foot or so of snow piling up outside, even though it is officially Spring. Thank goodness this little beauty brought some colour into the house last week and offered me a little something bright to work with. Can someone please explain to me how this "global warming" is causing a mini ice age?? this Winter is never-ending!!!

hibiscus moscheutos, a hardy hibiscus which overwinters out in the garden even way up here. it shows off with dramatic giant blossoms!
