With Kate on one of the first outings from Cottaging. That sounds so wrong.

Not by me, obviously enough, this is one of Steve's from the first Cottage trip in 2004. I'm not sure if these are online anywhere any more, so it deserves a home here. I think it's possibly my favourite Cottaging pic, despite the fact that I look not a bit like the way I think I look. It's just nice , and sums up how easily we all took to having the boys there with us.

You need to dress up in black plastic to make this really convincing, however.

We know Nicky and David must like us, because roughly this picture (a little sunnier!) is on the front cover of their brochure — complete with Landie in it! :)

Most of the grown-ups of the first Cottaging holiday in Trevoyan's enormous dining room — Luca and Natal have already been sent to bed! ;)
