All happy and shiny at the start of an NUS demo. I've dated it November 1994, although it might be the previous year. It's dated by the fact that UK students were still receiving grants, and we were still able to see the student loan as an option!

During the celebrations marking the twinning of Aberdeen and Paisley Universities.
The Fisher's Hotel in Pitlochry had just apologised for double-booking the function room, and thus not having any entertainments for us. So to make up for it the very generous – and naiive! – manager made the bar free for half an hour. What a mistake! ;)

My favourite Aberdeen minibus. We had about twenty, because obviously Aberdeen is a million miles from anywhere, so conferences, meetings, demos, and sports things often required us to hit the road. But M229 – Emma – was by far the best to drive, and became my minibus of choice :)

Ron in his rôle as President of the Aberdeen University Students' Representative Council for 1995/96.
He (and I hope, we ) really shook things up whenever we saw the need, and the refreshing thing about Aberdeen is, overall, that seemed to be welcome .
