Lulworth Castle

Not really a castle at all, but a Jacobean hunting lodge built in very romantic style. This photo is a little homage to one I found inside the castle. After a catastrophic fire, it was empty for many years. The equivalent photo, taken during its ruin and before restoration, has a deal more romance thanks to weeds growing up through the steps.

Lulworth Castle's Catholic chapel

The Chapel of St. Mary, in the grounds of Lulworth Castle. Designed in 1786 by John Tasker for Thomas Weld.

Reinforcements

Not the biggest of walls to have needed two sets of buttresses over the years. It's not a trick photo either: the ground level is the same on both sides. The wall surrounds the church (as opposed to the Catholic chapel) at Lulworth Castle.
