Looking from the Mill Pond adjacent to the Old Mill the remains of Warblington Castle can be seen in the distance. Warblington Castle or Warblington manor was a moated manor near Langstone in Havant parish, Hampshire. Most of the castle was destroyed during the English Civil War, leaving only a single gate tower, part of a wall, and a gateway. The property, now in the village of Warblington, is privately owned and does not allow for public access (information from Wikipedia). The tide is pretty high here........on the left you can see a fence made from old railway sleepers. The public footpath runs alongside the sleepers and in this shot the path is under water.
