Also known as Veronica. I think the variety is Hebe x franciscana (aka Veronica x franciscana). Taken yesterday in the Rock Garden, Southsea, Hampshire.

I spotted this tiny golf-ball sized Robin in the Rock Gardens, Southsea and I couldn't resist grabbing a quick shot before it flew off. It's a shame about the messy background, but it was unavoidable.

I'd thought I'd post a second image today as I have quite a few to get through. I hope you like it. The Southsea Rock Garden is a beautiful place to visit even in winter, but this time of the year it is very special. I always take far to many photos, so a collage is the best way to display them. This is the orange version( Mecanopsis Cambrica-Aurantiaca) of the more common Yellow Welsh Poppy. They're considered a wildflower, but I captured this one in the Southsea Rock Garden.
