Spotted these on one of the ponds in the Hilsea Lines (a nature reserve), Nr Portsmouth, Hampshire. Mum looked like she was having clean up, whilst the kids were snoozing in the sunshine.

Taken on Tuesday at WWT Arundel. This nest is high up in the corner of a bullding used to display herbs and dried flowers. This is next to the hide where some swallows built a nest last year.......I wonder if it is the same pair of birds? Used high ISO as I didn't want to disturb them by using flash. No sign of parent birds.....I suspect they waited until we were out of the way before returning to feed the chicks.

These were taken inside the Reed Bed hide at WWT Arundel where they have built a nest. It is very dark inside the hide. This one was taken at ISO 6400. Also a large crop.
