.........with a touch of grunge! Taken indoors with light from an LED panel.

Yesterday afternoon found me out hunting for dying flowers to take photos of. I found these in a neighbour's garden and she kindly allowed me to pick them (although I suspect she thought I might be a bit crazy)! I wanted to enhance the look of decay and so I used a dark green piece of of card as a background and added a grungy texture. There is another image in the PiP if you have time to look. I picked this one from my garden a while ago and I've been saving it until it got really grungy before I took a photo of it. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, but I'm guessing not everyone will like it! Taken indoors yesterday using a macro lens and an LED panel and a some black card as a background. In post production I darkened the background a little and added some dynamic contrast and a grunge filter to accentuate the detail. It was raining all day.........and this was a pleasant way to spend some time! Enjoy the rest of your week everyone.

Portsmouth and Southsea has some lovely parks and flower gardens, but like any other big city it also has some less attractive areas. One of which I found yesterday whilst exploring. I think some of the artwork was originally quite attractive...........but it's been spoiled over time by the application of mindless graffiti, neglect, dumping rubbish and other unsavoury things. I didn't hang around here too long...............I had to be careful where I was standing and the smell was quite unpleasant :-( On the plus side it made for some interesting photos.............I think so anyway..!!

This seed head was already dirty and grungy looking, so all I had to do was convert it to black and white. Please view large, on black. Thank you.
