Taken around 10 days ago........with the rose gardens in full bloom. I thought initially that the building in the background was going to be student accommodation..........but it is in fact the new Travelodge Hotel.

This was taken in Victoria Park, Portsmouth, Hampshire, last week. There was still a lot of autumnal colour around. Happy Bench Monday to you all. Situated next to the shopping centre, this is where I retreat to when my wife is wandering around the shops. It is beautifully kept and always a pleasure to visit. The buildings in the background are all student accommodation for the nearby Portsmouth University.

A beautifully kept park in the heart of Portsmouth, Hampshire. The building in the background is a hotel and, I think, very attractive. I initially thought it was student accommodation. The window detail in the PiP is not from this building but from another similar one where I could get closer.
