Finding a Way Out

This ivy has found a way out from behind these sheets of corrugated iron on the side of an old shed. I thought it looked very eye-catching against the old paint and rust.

I picked this one from my garden a while ago and I've been saving it until it got really grungy before I took a photo of it. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, but I'm guessing not everyone will like it!
Taken indoors yesterday using a macro lens and an LED panel and a some black card as a background. In post production I darkened the background a little and added some dynamic contrast and a grunge filter to accentuate the detail.
It was raining all day.........and this was a pleasant way to spend some time! Enjoy the rest of your week everyone.
The Wreck

This a shot of the bow section of the wreck of a wooden boat that has been lying in Dell Quay, Hampshire for many years.
I have taken quite a few photos of this wreck previously but have been unable to determine any history of it. Recently I discovered that it had been here since at least 1986 when it was being worked on by a local fisherman. He told people it was a working boat from the Netherlands and that he was going to renovate it. Sadly, it seems that didn't happen. It is moored near the boat yard, and seems to be fairly watertight, but no one knows who owns it or why it is still there. A proper mystery!

This is on the wall of a derelict building in Portsmouth, Hampshire. I liked the details and the textures of the brickwork and the wood used to board up the window.
Try viewing large to get the best effect.

I spotted this in a field behind a house near Swanmore, Hampshire. These have become quite popular for people to renovate and rent out for short breaks etc. I wonder what the owner has planned for this one?
The PiP shows a closer view. Thanks for looking :-)

Walking around Emsworth, I found this abandoned and derelict building on the quay at the Slipper Mill Pond. Processed ON1 RAW using a tonal contrast filter and a texture for the sky.
Looks better viewed large, on black.
Racton Monument , West Sussex

Processed using ON1 Photo Raw 2018, which I am currently trying out with a view to replacing LR in due course. This is obviously a texture, one of dozens available.
Racton Monument (known locally as Racton Ruin) is a folly situated on a hill in Racton, West Sussex, England. It was commissioned by the 2nd Earl of Halifax, possibly as a summerhouse for the nearby Stansted Estate, though an alternative theory suggests it could have been constructed so the Earl could watch his merchant ships dock at the nearby port village of Emsworth.
It is owned by a private owner who has planning permission to turn the monument into a dwelling, though these plans are yet to materialise, if ever. Its isolated nature, being set away from populated places and major roads, has led to several cases of suicide at the monument, most recently in 2009. Occult acts are known to take place on occasion there. The monument is also popular with paranormal investigators visiting to investigate reported paranormal activity at the site. Witnesses claim to have seen bricks thrown from above, heard ghostly shouts, and intrigue surrounds the myth that the folly may have been used by smugglers.
