This my entry for the latest challenge in the Macro Dreams Challenges group. The subject is "Furniture Leg". This is part of the leg of a small table that sits next to my armchair and holds a table lamp, a couple of books and my Kindle..........and a space for my coffee cup. Taken indoors in natural window light, using in-camera focus stacking. I even polished it up for you to show off the grain in the wood :-) It will also fit into these challenges: Circles or Curves, Lines, Stripes or Ridges.

Thanks to Jean-louis (below) I think this may be a Nandina Domestica (Heavenly Bamboo) plant. I've just looked and I'm pretty sure I took it in the Japanese Garden in Southsea, so that would make sense!

Have a good 'un folks :-) The Chesapeake Mill is a watermill in Wickham, Hampshire, England. The mill was designed and constructed in 1820 using the timbers of HMS Chesapeake, which had previously been the United States Navy frigate USS Chesapeake. Chesapeake had been captured by the Royal Navy frigate HMS Shannon during the War of 1812. John Prior paid the sum of £500 for the timbers sold at Portsmouth. The interior of the mill was designed around the dimensions of the deck beams. The mill remained in operation until 1976 and now serves as a retail centre for antique and gift sellers.
