Taken in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard Hampshire a couple of months back. She looks splendid in the sunshine.
HMS Warrior is a 40-gun steam-powered armoured frigate built for the Royal Navy in 1859–1861. She was one of the first armour-plated, iron-hulled warships, built in response to France's launching in 1859 of the first ocean-going ironclad warship.

ST Mary's Church, Tyneham Village
28 Dec 2011 |
|
Tyneham Village was commandeered by the War Office in 1943 and all the villagers were required to move out. The village was to have been returned to them after the war, but in 1948 the Army put a compulsory purchase order on it and it has remained MOD property ever since. The church has been preserved as a museum.
