Tabletop photography...........a while ago I bought some old sheet music on Ebay thinking I might use it for a photo sometime. Then my wife found some novelty paperclips in a charity shop and got them for me, also thinking I might use them for a photo sometime. I thought that I'd combine the two...........and this is the result!

A post card from Southsea

Taken this afternoon, at Southsea, Portsmouth, UK. As well the Armed Forces Day celebrations, there was also free live music at the Bandstand where the atmosphere was wonderful with everyone enjoying themselves in the blazing hot sunshine. Great weather for having fun, but not so good for photography. Please view large, on black. Thank you.

Spotted this busker in Portsmouth this afternoon. Thanks to those who have sent messages about Ipernity closing down next year...........really sad news. I'm going to have to have a serious think about where I go next. I'll reply to your messages in due course, meanwhile I'm posting and running as it's my wife's birthday and I'm having an evening away from the internet..!!

The Orbitones

I spent a pleasant half hour listening to this rockabilly duo in Southampton yesterday, while the Boss did some window shopping. I was impressed enough to buy the CD..!! A quick google when I got home revealed little else about this particular band, but it seems the bassist, Paul "Choppy" Lambourne was a a well known and respected member of several rockabilly and psychobilly bands in his younger days..!!
