Nothing lives forever!

An almost completely dead, but still quite beautiful Rose........captured in a neighbour's garden. The PiP shows some roses on the same plant, which are still going strong.

This came from a bunch of flowers that were past their best. Photographed indoors in natural light from the window.

Pink Petals

I spotted this gorgeous pink rose in someone's garden a while ago and couldn't resist leaning over the fence to take a photo of it.

A dying rose, captured in my neighbours garden. For the Macro Dreams ✨ challenge. Best viewed large I think.

Still putting on a colourful show, even as it fades away!

Rose Abstract

When I took this photo of a rose it looked OK on the camera screen, but when I looked at it on my iMac it was a bit tatty round the edges. I decided to crop in for the detail instead and I'm quite impressed with how it looks, especially as I wasn't using a macro lens. Just goes to show that you shouldn't delete anything until you've checked it out on your computer!

Everyone seems to be posting bee-in-flight images lately, so I thought I'd add another photo today with mine. Taken at some waste land near my house.

Spotted this hanging over the fence from someone's garden and it was so lovely I had to get a shot of it. Please view large, on black. Thank you.

Unstoppable autumn. Things once bright and beautiful shrivel and die to make way for new life in the spring. They have a beauty all of their own.
