It was suppertime and we had finished eating. Normally we'd sit back down for a pot of tea. But we decided to drive the twenty-minute walk up the hill to a spot where we'd have a good chance of seeing Comet Tsuchinshan. We waited about fifteen minutes, until exactly 64 minutes after sunset, before we saw it. But we did see it. And my camera recorded it. Even at ISO 10,000, this was a third of a second. Handheld, by the way, thanks for internal stabilisation in the camera! The bright lights of the court of King Caractacus (uhh, the Elonmuskalites) were just passing by, from right to left below the comet's head. A third of second was long enough to scratch a little streak in the heavens in that part of my picture.
