The day, today -- drawing to a close now and gone past in much of the world -- is apparently known to some as World Jellyfish Day. The third of November has had this designation, apparently, for several years without my knowing about it. Luckily I have a few pictures of jellyfish to honour it today. This jelly had been patiently waiting out the low tide for the next high tide to come in and take it back to the water where its friends were still swimming. When I took this picture, the tide had started to rise again and already the jelly was awake and visibly animated. She was, uhh, or he, or it was a happy jelly.
