Yesterday, there were a dozen or more blue jays at the back door. They seemed to be in two gangs and they were harrassing each other to no end -- stealing nuts, making loud noises, showing all their feathers, and so on. Then, a couple of hours later, just these two were there, being cautious with one another. I like to think they were working out the terms for a modus vivendi.
