Noxious weed

28 Jun 2018 58
Not here; it's not a noxious weed here. But in Washington state in the USA, apparently, they've declared this European/Asian plant a noxious weed. I can see why, I think. This is growing out of a disused flower planter that, two or three years ago, had a variety of what we thought were annuals. But this plant has come up thick all over the planter. It's very pretty close-up. Lamium galeobdolon is its name -- aluminum plant (for the leaves variegation) and archangel plant (I don't know why) are two common names. The flowers are tiny, just a cm long, and the leaves as wide and about four cm long.
