I took this picture in July 1995 when my wife and I ran into Paul Parsons, one of our favourite local artists, in Brigus. We had driven there. By contrast, he had ridden his bicycle, a ride from where he lived of about 70 km, each way. He was seventy at the time and, when the weather was fit, he often used to ride around to draw and paint. He died fifteen years later, in 2010. When I took this picture, over two decades ago, I didn't really like it. Nor the others I took that day. They all seemed very unsharp. But my tastes have changed, and now I think this one is a good picture of Paul. T-Max 400 film in my Flexo TLR.
