There's a family of five crows that hangs around in our neighbourhood. A (human) neighbour four or five houses down befriended the parents a few years ago and since then they've had three young ones. I don't know the crows well enough yet to know which are young and which aren't. But I've gradually been getting to know at least a couple of them, ones that like the peanuts I leave out for the bluejays. Not all of the family are interested in peanuts, but they are all interested in hanging around and watching what happens.
