A youthful 77 years old then, my father was reading and sunning -- two of his favourite things -- when I dropt by and took this picture in May of 1988. His books all looked like the one in his lap, with scraps of paper as bookmarks, notes and dust-cover. I hadn't seen this picture in nearly thirty years when I scanned it yesterday. Not a bad one, and the negative held up well; it was Konica SR-V-100 film which was not a particularly well thought-of film at the time, but which has come through nearly three decades of storage better than some other films of the time. Shot in my Minolta X370, and I expect with my Minolta 50mm lens.
