A couple of years ago I posted (in colour) the picture that was next to this on the negative. I had taken them at the opening of my bernlaw's exhibition in a local art gallery. A few days ago, Gerry Squires, the man on the right, the younger of these two men, died. My bernlaw and Gerry had been friends and colleagues for four decades. Gerry had been until recently a very youthful and active man, but at 77 he got sick and fairly quickly died of cancer. He was 75 in this picture.
