Saturday Self Challenge 25/8/2018

25 Aug 2018 35 34 569
On Explore...thank you Today's challenge was Take a photo through the window (on the inside, looking out) and use the window as a frame. I found this quite difficult because of the angle needed. This one is from the back of the house, downstairs, and the the one in the PIP is from the front of the house, upstairs. This was even more difficult, not wanting to photo neighbours houses lol. I couldn't get the angle without falling out of the window hahahaha....So only got half of the window frame in.

Rushton Hall (lounge 1)

Rushton Hall is a magnificent building, built mainly in local stone. It was commenced by Sir John Tresham and his family around 1438 who owned the hall for nearly 200 years, and was later bought and enlarged by the Cockayne family around 1630. The hall's interior is of a grand style. Huge stone and timber fireplaces in virtually every room, whilst ornate plasterwork and wonderful stained glass can be found in the Great Hall, Drawing Room, Dining Room Library, and various other rooms. Sir Thomas Tresham created the Oratory which houses the precious plaster representation of Passion, dated 1577. It was removed from St Peters Church, which once stood in the grounds of the hall. He also built the Triangular Lodge, which is in the grounds of the Hall. The RNIB (Royal National Institute for the Blind) opened the hall as a school in 1957 and sold it in 2003 to H I Limited, a privately owned family business, committed to maintaining the Hall for future generations. It has now been transformed to a luxury hotel.
