I love waterfalls and this little creek had tons of 'em (the little foot high kind). This creek was a bit on the steep side but Ginsie didn't mind. She happily went through the water and investigated the waterfalls. She found them very curious!

From the welcome center around sunset. A lot of people went to the overlooks but I drove up to the Welcome center (because it was big and I knew Ginsie could get out and explore a bit too). It was great. There were only maybe 10 other cars around.

At the Welcome Center. These were two of the very few "play-do" color trees. With the drought this year, the leaves weren't "WOW!" for the most part.

Along the trail. Honestly, this is what I think of when I read about the Golden Woods. There is one red tree in the picture, one of the few that hadn't lost all of it's leaves yet.

Now , this I know was the overlook. The mountain really looked awesome with the setting sun. I decided not to stay there because you really couldn't get a great picture of the sunset and there were too many people around.

Ginsie! Before our little trip. Yes, she has on a bright orange (and purple!) scarf. One reason is pure safety. It's hunting season and ummm...yeah. I can see how someone could mistake her for a rabbit. The second reason was because it's cute. That, and I wanted to make sure I had enough battery power to take pictures...
