Although the coif looks large on the Styrofoam head, I think the head is actually meant to mimic a childs. It works for showing items off though and it was free. The coif is based of extant blackwork patterns. I added a few spangles to it to make it sparkle. I might add more but I don't want to cover up the embroidery on the Spikes (seahorses).

I added loops of cord to the bottom of the coif to gather it. I've seen this done on a few extant coifs and loved the look of it.

Side back view. I put my hair up in a bun and that really made the difference.
