Side view. You can really see the trim in this one. I used some hideous 1970's trim that I picked apart until I got a shape that looked Renaissance like. It ended up coming out pretty well!

Not really the best picture of the dress but here it is, done! The dress would be worn over a chemise. I might add some trim to the hemline but that will be it. This style was worn in the second half of the 16th Century in Venice, Italy. With the materials and style I went for, this is a middle class dress.

This was the very first gown I ever made for re-enacting. I had sewn before this but it was to make 50's style dresses. The sleeves were NOT pink to begin with. I washed the gown with a strawberry pink skirt once and umm...this happened.
