Left to right (or rear to front): Isaac Smith on fiddle, Luke Gitchel on guitar, and Dylan Dietz on banjo. Seth Sutton's out of the frame; like many bass players he often hides behind the band. The white backdrop's a tent's roof.
Luke mentioned on Facebook late yesterday afternoon that the band would be playing in Sunfield in the evening, so Joan and I went. We had a good time, and took a few pictures. I'll likely post some more, but it may be a few days.

Frank Van Buren Park (and ballfield) in Sunfield. Needed some color to brighten up this white and grey day.

I've been a bit under the weather for the past week, so that and the (actual) wretched weather conspired to mostly limit me to photographing birds through the window. While I enjoy that, it gets old . So I grabbed the pocket cam and headed for the next town this morning, just to change my perspective a bit.
I've been trying to capture this church in a photograph for years. This version will do.

Photo shot a few yards from the grain elevator photo. Probably my best photo of the day, and definitely not planned.

I drive by this barn--it's on M-43, just beyond Sunfield--all the time. I've been promising myself I'd photograph it one of these days.
Done.
