Here's the snow I mentioned a bit ago.

Enough with the rain, already.

Although this is an older picture, it shows pretty much what our deck's looked like every morning lately. (Well, the junk's changed, but that's a relatively minor issue.)

And a deck half-way up for those who've grown weary. Near South Haven, Michigan. (Barely north of the state park.) The large view really shows off my camera.

Joan's parents' farm, July 4, 2006. The ramp and the sidewalk were perhaps two weeks old; we were building the patio.

And again it's snowing....

These days we can swing, since Joan's fixed the seat. Just yesterday I was swinging. Oh, yes. Here's that trellis again. Early in the morning a year ago I took a few pix in the yard for the 366 Snaps project. Durned Bindweed! Weary, perhaps, from Saint Ignace, the bluegrass festival, and two photo excursions to local villages, I stayed home a year ago. I shot a few pix around the yard, then photographed the buildings right close to the post office when I checked the mail. ========== The three buildings in the 366 Snaps photo are across from the P.O. Or, more properly, were across from the P.O.; the building on the right was demolished a few weeks back, along with the wall that seemed to extend its facade. When I moved to Mulliken, the center building housed a beauty parlor. The building on the left--it's as small as it probably looks--housed a veterinary clinic for a while. Both seem to be homes--or, more likely, one home--now; the foundation of the removed building's become sort of a patio. ========== This photograph is an outtake from my 2012 photo-a-day project, 366 Snaps . I let Joan select the 366 Snaps photo for April 29. I preferred this pic. The April 29 set is a delight--mostly of the trellis, with a few texture shots of a tree, the lawn, and some yard furniture. At this point I had the F200 fully under control; the set is sharp, handles contrast well, and is interestingly framed (my opinion, of course). I still dislike(d) the camera . ========== This photograph is an outtake from my 2012 photo-a-day project, 366 Snaps . The best was of a cowbird.
