Of course February's about to greet us with a storm.... These barns are behind Fairview , an adult foster care facility in (or on the edge of) Grand Ledge. Not so long ago the place was a working farm.

Rhisiart Hincks suggested I make a slightly different crop of this photo .

Flickr'r Otisourcat suggested I return to this location when there was snow and reshoot the photo. The problem was the location; while it's only a short trip from my house, getting there involves a couple miles on dirt roads. Near as I can tell Wheaton's only been plowed once since the snows began. So anyway I made it today. I used a different lens, and accordingly took a different photograph. I expect he was hoping for more snow, too. Maybe another day.

Mt. Hope Highway; Eaton County, Michigan. Pretty much the photo I was looking for when I set out this morning, but I probably expected the foreground to be in focus. Still like it.
