This building is the west anchor of Michigan's Capitol Complex, opposite the State Capitol. In between, along the walkway named for longtime Attorney General Frank Kelley, are several fairly unremarkable office buildings. To the extent I had a photographic plan for the day, I was hoping to photograph this massive structure. I wasn't entirely certain I could pull it off. In the end I had to go wide-angle and do a bit of post-processing manipulation to get the perspective right. If you're trying to take this photo, you cannot avoid finding the Vietnam Memorial. Since I'm a Nam vet, it of course caught my attention.

Maya Ying Lin taught us to build walls, so we build walls. This one's curved, and rather striking.

Since I was in downtown Lansing yesterday, I took the simple/obvious shot of the Capitol building from the walkway between the Capitol Complex office buildings. A grey day, and a touristy shot. But it came out pretty well. The tall building in the background has been going by Boji Tower for a decade or so, but most of us still seem to think of it as the Michigan National Tower.
