Recycle

Another version of yesterday's Mulliken photograph . The nearer building is Mulliken's Recycling Center; it was once a lumber yard, and associated with the hardware store. I'm not sure how much of the clutter belongs to the motorcycle club and how much belongs to the village, but I'm sure that both are storing things out back. And, of course, the empty grain silos loom behind.

The Fence in the Corner of the Garage

Blocks

This is an alternate crop of the photo I posted to 366 Snaps a year ago. As was common during the project, I snapped a few shots from the Thriftway last August 4; this was one of those. This garage is across the road and down the block from the store. It's a massive place sharing a lot with a rather small house; they've always seemed like a mismatch though I expect there's a reason someone built that very solid structure beside their home. The processing was intended to make things seem abstract, in contrast to the concrete reality of the place when seen in context .... (Promised you I'd point you back to that photo. And apologies for the pun.) ========== This photograph is an outtake from my 2012 photo-a-day project, 366 Snaps . 366 Snaps project discussion and stats for August 4 .
