North of Richland, Michigan, near Gull Lake. When we were young this farm supplied much of the milk sold in the Kalamazoo area.
This is another Richard Dinda photograph. It caught my eye because I tried to set up a very similar photo the other day--same farm, framed by the same trees, with an interesting sky. Mine didn't work out. Dick's did.

Showed you this farmyard a couple weeks back . This was taken at the same time, but it's 'bout a half-mile down the road.

There's something about this farmyard I find appealing. The tiny, now-below-grade-level garage, the small-but-sprawling house, the trees, the outbuildings. Just everything, really.
This photo doesn't even show the stream that runs around the yard's edge. Neat place....

A change of pace from the flowers and snaps. Joan and I visited her mom last weekend, then wandered the farm. Joan took along her new Nikon 1; I just carried the Cybershot.

Or sheds, I suppose. On M-43, near Grand Ledge.
The light on these structures is often delightful, and I keep promising myself I'll take more photos of them. But the traffic levels on Grand Ledge Highway are a problem....
Another view , from a few years back.

Two farms, on the highest point in the neighborhood. This is about a mile out of town and both places can be seen from my yard. Both families are actively farming.
The barn on the left is now gone and has been replaced with a pole barn.

Dow Road, just north of Mt. Hope. Basically a snapshot from one of last weekend's rides, but it came out well. My little point-n-shoot can do some good stuff. Lots of detail in the larger size.
Technically, this is outside Roxand Township, but only by inches so I'll include it in that set.
Shot over my shoulder from the bike. One of these days I'm gonna get hurt, doing that.

We spent part of Tuesday afternoon wandering around The Village at Grand Traverse Commons (the old State Hospital), in Traverse City.
Then we had an excellent supper at Trattoria Stella.

One of these structures was once known as " The World's First All-Steel Barn ."
I've a story for that field, too, but not for today.
==========
Last December 15's 366 Snaps session was odd and fulfilling. I stopped at the store for my morning RC Cola, then headed out amongst the local farms--Charlotte Highway to Eaton Highway to Gates Road to Saginaw Highway to Dow Road to Grace Highway back to Gates back to Saginaw back to Mulliken (which is the same road as Charlotte), and home. The excursion didn't take me far, but occupied most of an hour.
Along the way I shot 32 photographs. About half got messed up--I was still too impatient for the FujiFilm camera--but the other half were keepers. This was the last of the set.
A good haul.
I'd originally planned to post five images today, none of which were this one, but I've changed m' mind....
==========
The lonely farmhouse photo I posted to 366 Snaps speaks for itself, I think.

Two Sheds

'Twas a short photo shoot a year ago. I caught a few pix of a blue jay from our deck, then drove a seven mile loop on local back roads. There were 23 photographs in a few seconds over twenty minutes, according to the time stamps on the first and last images.
I figured to take a few pix at a little swamp on Gates Road. Most of the day's captures were there--a goose, some reeds, and a set that included the day's 366 Snaps photo (which is among my favorites, by the way).
The photo above was shot on the trip's return leg. There's a tele effect in play in this photo, as these sheds are not nearly as close together, nor as narrow, as they seem.
