Another view of a lighthouse I showed you last week. This one shows the pretty porch. Gulliver, Michigan, at the north end of Lake Michigan.

Near Gulliver, at the northern end of Lake Michigan, in the Upper Peninsula. A very pretty lighthouse, just three or four miles off US-2. The light could be said to mark the entrance to Port Inland--but, as the light's name suggests, its location was the obviously-best place to put a navigation aid. The local historical society runs a museum and a gift shop on the grounds.

Overlooking the locks at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. The lower level is wheelchair accessible (and fully enclosed in glass, which will be a blessing on cold days but a problem for photographers). The upper level is mostly open. Nokomis & CSL Tadoussac in the locks, just barely visible. The observation deck's nicely executed and quite attractive. And enormous.
