When I was frequenting Dimondale, this building was always surrounded by broken cars. The business moved to another Dimondale address several years ago, though it looks like this structure's still in use. I seem to be on a former-body-shop kick, these days. Hmmm. Camera: Minolta SR-T 101

Yesterday's black & white , in color. Davis obviously needed a place to store stuff away from the cities where they actually build things. They don't employ a lot of people in our town, but the yard's always full of (sometimes large) equipment and an assortment of construction supplies. It's pretty impressive. This photo taken from Mulliken Road, just south of M-43. As I've mentioned once or twice before, I've been shooting black & white dailies with my Nikon cameras only to have my software ignore the b/w flag in the NEF (RAW) file. So (in general) my processing workflow includes a step to return the pictures to my original monochrome intent. But, occasionally, the color version's worth saving....

I think this used to be a school, but it's long been the home of the local car repair/restoration business. You basically have to already know that, though, since the sign's completely faded away. Shot this from Mulliken Thriftway , which I've shown you before.
