We ate at Lansing Mall's new Lone Star Steak House to celebrate Joan's birthday. Decent food (we both had prime rib with garlicky potatoes), good service, and a really impressive room. And an old friend. The gentleman standing in this photo is Tommy, who often waited on us at another, now-defunct, restaurant. Good to see him. All in all, though, I'd rather have been in Traverse City, our usual birthday haunt.
