I am apparently required to photograph Brittany Lane. What can I say? What can I do?

Joan claims she parked the car and I disappeared. I was taking this photo.... We've stayed at this lakefront hotel a dozen or so times. The building used to be a bluish grey, with pink awnings; differently gaudy, actually. Both of us preferred the old paint job, but our vote probably doesn't count. Pointes North is by no means a fancy hotel, but it's comfortable. It's family-friendly, but the oddly-configured rooms are plainly intended for couples. Above all else, it has a great location.

On Friday we explored Cheboygan. We began at the waterfront. From out on the pier we can easily see the Cheboygan Crib Light (it used to live on a crib, out in Duncan Bay) and the new-fangled Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw. Farther back are the barge/tug combo Great Lakes and Michigan (they sat in the harbor for most of the week), and the Front and Rear Range Lights glowing red on the right side of the channel.

...we said goodbye to our summertime friends, and promised to meet again next spring. CO Brown Stadium, in Battle Creek's Bailey Park, just as the season's last home game ended. Explored! #272 on Flickr [July 27, 2007, but no longer in the top 500] Thanks!

A sidewalk, a person waiting for the signal to change, old-fashioned street light stands, some signs, and storefronts. I think this busy photo is delightful.
