Taffy thinks she's spotted something....

Taffy likes looking out. Her little paws are resting on the door closer, which is just out of sight. From inside, it often looks like she's doing chin-ups. As Suzy (bulldog1) supposes in one of the comments which follow, birds and (distant) neighbors are part of the attraction. Squirrels, too. And the occasional stray cat. Or the wind, ruffling the lawn. If we're outside, she thinks she needs to talk to us. Especially she likes the birds, though.

I seem to find the trellis irresistible. Of course, the point-n-shoot chose to focus on the screen, but the effect is interesting. ========== Last year we got our first serious snowfall of the winter on the thirteenth, so I didn't venture far. I shot most of my pictures through windows--and a few in the yard, and three on my daily trip to the post office. Surprisingly, most were pretty good. The daily I posted--I called it "We're Outta Here"--caught some sparrows abandoning our Spirea, likely because they'd spotted me stalking them. The result was better than the photo I'd framed; like most pocket cameras, the Cybershot has a noticeable delay. ========== This photograph is an outtake from my 2012 photo-a-day project, 366 Snaps .
